Had another satisfying gastronomic experience at Jaan at level 70 of Swissotel The Stamford earlier this month – except this time, the modern French restaurant now has one Michelin star (I expected it to have two stars like Odette as I enjoyed my experience here a lot more, but I guess food is divisive and subjective).

Janice Wong at National Museum

I’ve never been to 2am:dessertbar, Janice Wong’s dessert restaurant, and I rarely go out of my way to have sweet stuff. But the pastry chef’s eponymous restaurant sounded fascinating with its whimsical creations, so I thought I’d stop by.

Haakon at Holland Village

This small eatery at the first floor of the new Raffles Medical centre about 100m from Holland Village mrt is aptly placed for healthy people 🙂 it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food was pretty good!

Grain Traders at Raffles Place

Finally got to try this healthy eatery during a spontaneous lunch meeting with a dear friend and I can’t wait to return again!

The queue extended almost to the entrance when we arrived close to 1pm and there were tissues and work passes choping all available tables. I had no clue the eatery was very long or I might have not queued, but fortunately I continued waiting (: It is worth the wait if you have good company.

Nan Hwa Fishboat
