The Short on Luxe in Keong Saik

Luxe Sydney’s first overseas restaurant-bar opened earlier this year in Keong Saik Road. Serving Australian food with a Singapore twist, the place is beautifully done up and seems more like a friend’s home than an eatery.

However, the food is just alright. We all ordered scrambled eggs with toast ($13) with different sides of roasted mushroom ($5), bacon ($6) and smoked salmon ($6). The bread was good only when slathered with butter, while the eggs were done alright, but unseasoned and needed a generous amount of salt and pepper. That could be taken as a good thing for some people who like to season their own food. I guess it’s OK with a 1-for-1 deal if you have the Entertainer app like we did.
